New Mexico Marriage License Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age to obtain a marriage license without parental consent. Both applicants must be present and have photo identification with the date of birth. Applicants 16 or 17 years of age must bring a birth certificate and must have the consent of each of the minor’s living parents as shown on the certificate of birth. Consent may be provided in person with identification or by notarized affidavit of consent.
